The National Swimming Pool and Spa Association Awards were held recently to recognise excellence in the construction of pools and spas Australia wide and there were two very proud Western Australians who together won gold in the Pre-Engineered Spas and Hot Tubs category. The first was the owner himself, Mr. Richards of Beldon and the second was WA owned Jadan Spas Warehouse Direct.

The Maax 680 Quay Grande portable spa was purchased by the Richards family from Jadan Spas Warehouse Direct in Joondalup. This fabulous spa combines 68 spa jets, two high performance pumps, spa pillows, an aromatherapy system and mood lighting to create the perfect hydrotherapy masterpiece. The spa can also seat up to seven people, making it the perfect place to entertain family and friends. A spa with this many fantastic features deserves a worthy home, and the home of this Maax 680 is nothing less than a stroke of genius.

Built by Mr Richards himself, thie purpose-built timber spa gazebo that houses the spa includes a high, tiled roof with fitted lights. Stunning LED lights were also fitted into the floor around the spa offering the option of changing the colours of the lights to suit your own mood.

The gazebo is fully enclosed on two sides, offering shelter from the elements while also allowing views of the Richards’ backyard. A timber railing stretches across the open sides of the gazebo, leaving a wide entry for the family and guests. For the Richard’s family, this area has become the ultimate entertaining area as well as the perfect place to relax.

The final touches inside the gazebo include a timber, six-seater outdoor setting and a variety of stunning ornaments hanging on the timber walls. The use of timber in the spa cabinet, gazebo and outdoor setting give the whole area a rich, earthy atmosphere that is all the more relaxing when enjoying a spa massage or even a nice barbecue on a balmy summers evening.
